Genalog Value Added Range

To compliment our franchised distribution, Genalog can offer a value added service of modifying connectors in-house to resolve delivery and MOQ issues our customers can sometimes experience.

We have the technical know-how and tooling to offer solutions that our competitors cannot.


With our MC1000 cutter we have the ability to cut almost any pin-header and socket-strip to any size, on any pitch, number of rows and mounting style (SMT, Thru-hole, R/A etc).

This gives the ability to stock larger sizes of these series and cut down the exact number of positions and quantity required.

For the vast majority of our parts we can offer no pack sizes, MOQ’s or long lead-times, even for those obscure sizes. Quality control is assured with our ISO9001 approval.

We are the only distributor in Europe
approved by Harwin to cut their products

In addition to this we have always offered the service of manufacturing cable assemblies to customers’ drawings, samples and specifications.

We can produce simple single wire assemblies to IDC Ribbon cables to highly complex laced wiring looms.

In the last year we have invested heavily in this area:

  • In order to maintain the service our customers demand and expect we have trebled the production area and more than doubled the number of staff, employing both experienced wiremen and adopted a trainee program.
  • Added to this we have invested in new automated production equipment that enables us to produce larger volumes and maintain a consistently high standard of quality.
  • Inspection of our facilities is always welcomed. We have a number of audits/vendor inspections by our key blue-chip customers (commercial and non-disclosure agreements prevent us from naming them here) and both BSI and UL independently audit our management system.

Schleuniger EcoStrip 9320
High performance machine for processing stranded cables, wires, multi-conductor cables and flat ribbon cables

Schleuniger UniStrip 2300

Programmable stripping machine strips wires ranging in size from 0.03 – 6 mm² (32 – 10 AWG) and jacketed cables
up to 5.5 mm (0.22“) in diameter.


Schleuniger OC 3950

Automatic cable cutting for the processing of wires, tubing, flat ribbon cable and fibre optic cables.
Up to 15mm OD, 100mm wide.

Izumi Pneumatic
Crimping Tool - AC-5N

Capable of crimping several types of terminals up to 5.5mm2 with interchangable jaws. Bench mounted, air operated AC-5N is suitable for continuous crimping for production line.

MC1000

Purpose built strip cutter for socket strips and pin-headers. Various pitch and mounting styles are suitable.

Izumi Crimps
Izumi

"Wiring Harnesses" (ZPFW2 and ZPFW8) under file no. E338838. This gives us the ability to produce cable assemblies with UL labels, which is now a requirement for any customer subcontracting their cable harnesses where their end products are UL recognised.

Finally, as well as our ISO 9001 approval we can now offer the Component Recognition Program of Underwriters Laboratories Inc.

Every cable assembly manufactured in-house is inspected to these approvals and tested using equipment such as the Cirrus 1000H+ (capable of testing insulation resistance up to 1kV).
