New IDXPERT Version II: Now better than ever!
Here is the upgrade that you have all been waiting for! We are proud to
announce the launch of the new and improved IDXPERT Version II with
some brand new and enhanced features to make it a more versatile and
better machine that meets the demands of our customers.
Features and benefits
Whilst developing IDXPERT™ Version II, we consulted with customers in
MRO and Datacom & Telecom markets, which are the markets where we
have had most success in selling IDXPERT™. They told us that they
wanted the following improvements to be made:
The IDXPERT™ Version II can now be connected to a PC running our
LabelMark™ software. The printer is supplied with a USB cable (no
longer a serial connection), which means that it has been brought
up-to-date with the demands of PC users. Customers can now design more
complex labels than ever before and even enjoy the benefits such as
reduced errors by importing data directly from external data sources
onto labels.
There are 10 new font sizes in total for the new IDXPERT™. This brings
the total number of font sizes to 21 giving customers more flexibility
such as being able to put more information on labels.
This was something many customers asked for. No more surprises ! You
can tell how much power you have left in your printer before it stops
working.
- More bar-coding formatting options
Now you have the option of both Code 39 and 128 barcodes. We have also
introduced several new barcode formatting options such as the option to
chance bar width and also to change the font size of the human readable
text.
- A way to print formatted strips for face plates and patch panels
These have traditionally been difficult labels to produce due to the
grid lines required on them. Not any more! The new firmware on the
IDXPERT™ Version II prints them directly onto the label, which gives a
superb finished label - just what any installer would want!
Now
you can produce small health & safety signs with much more impact.
Simply create one zone for the image, and another zone for the text. By
doing this you maximise the space available to ensure a clear and
legible label is produced.
Applications / Target Markets / Positioning / Product Strategy
The new IDXPERT™ is a true “all rounder”. In principle, applications
and target markets of the do IDXPERT™ Version II do not differ from the
previous version (wire and cable marking, production of small health
& safety signs, barcode and asset labels, datacom and telecom
labelling for specific applications such as outlet, patch panel, and
faceplate marking.)
Now with the new feature of PC connectivity, users can do more with
their IDXPERT™ such as include logos on labels, print more complex
serialised labels (for cable marking for example), and import data from
other data sources such as spreadsheets and databases.
This printer is one of our lower volume printers, aimed at users who
might want to print about 250 labels per day. It is priced above the ID
PAL™, but below the TLS2200™ and the TLS PC Link™. With the addition of
PC functionality, we have something to offer customers who are still
using older dot matrix technology with printers like the LS2000 and
BMXC+.
