Already this has led to a 42% increase in new customers, mainly in the
defence, medical and industrial sectors.
Comments Gary Evans, European Sales Manager: "In Europe, sales for our
0.025in/0.635mm pitch nanominiature Bi-lobe and microminiature
0.050in/1.27mm pitch microminiature connectors are up by 40%".
"We are taking an increased market share in North America, and in Asia
- a relatively new target for Omnetics - the market is opening up
strongly, and we have identified a huge number of design opportunities".
Omnetics has doubled its engineering headcount in order to drive its
new product introduction plans which are focused around its
brand-leading nanominiature Bi-lobe series.
Already this year the company has introduced hermetically sealed and
high temperature Bi-lobe products targeting the petrochem, space and
UAV sectors, is launching a series of circular nano connectors and has
received QPL approval for its single- and dual-row Bi-Lobes.
Four further significant product family introductions are planned in the next quarter.
Concludes Evans: "Omnetics will always continue to innovate by listening to what the market and our customers are saying".
"We are flexible and responsive and relish technical challenges".
